I am a student at the tech, I have a classmate who speaks English as a 3rd (4th?) language with German and Russian being the primary two. He is also hard of hearing and loosely speaks American sign language. He is highly intelligent and is struggling in our FAST paced history class with a paper. He asked if I would help him and I am willing to do what I can for grammar and punctuation, but... when it comes to expressing thoughts I feel like he can struggle to find the correct wordage and I feel like someone who would know one of the two primary languages he speaks would be better suited to help him with the content of his paper so that the paper is authentically his own. This student could really use a hand up, he also works full time in a physical job to support his wife (who also works) and children. I'd feel HORRIBLE if he failed because I didn't do what I could to help him so I am asking here, hoping that a student who is fluent in one of these languages enough to help him might be willing to pay it forward in life by helping him write his first real paper in his first semester of college. The paper isn't due for a few weeks yet so there would be time to help in your spare time.

I don't get why race has somehow been turned into a plot point for people. "I was at the store and a black guy said he liked my shirt," or some equally dumb remark. Why the hell is the color of their skin even remotely related to the story? Why couldn't you just have said "oh this lady helped me with my bags" instead?

It's so annoying how people look at relationships nowadays... they are suppose to mean something, you aren't suppose to just date someone because it's convenient for you...

I literally heard this on the bus the other day (imagine this in a white-privileged whiny girl can't do it alone voice): Well, I took this one class that was realllyyy hard, so I got the answers from someone who had already taken the class. But, it wasn't cheating. I just knew all the answers ahead of time." I mean, if punching people wasn't illegal. I just... I would choose that one.

Stole a guy's hat at a party about a month ago.. Now I'm finally starting to feel guilty about it...
