As a student seriously interested in LBGTQIA issues, I want to ask the question - what would it take for you all as a larger group to actually communicate with one another, because honestly it's like you all have your groups of 3-8 people and heaven forbid any of you actually talk to each other.

I really hate it when people tell others to just "go to the gym". As a clinically obese person, I can attest that I would love nothing more to be able to go to the gym every day and work out and then loose weight. But news flash - for a majority of the overweight to heavily obese people out there - their activity level or how much they workout isn't the real solution. A lot of it has to do with the type of food that they have available to eat and the support systems(or lack thereof) that they have. I personally have struggled with my weight since middle school, I've done diets, workout routines and videos, and I've even gone so far to try and seek out medical assistance for my weight problem and ultimately it comes down to one thing. It is easier and cheaper to be skinny and stay skinny than it is to be overweight/obese and try to loose weight - because I can tell you that the most effective program in this area for weight loss and maintaining it costs over $400 a month, and I don't know about you all, but I make less than that in a month and that probably won't change any time soon.
