I feel so cliche saying this but... I feel so left out here. I have a few friends but I hardly ever get invited to go do things. I feel like its so hard because everybody has their own friend groups already and the only place to find friends is parties. I am involved and try to talk to a lot of people but I end up just being that person in the background. When i came for orientation, the one thing that was stressed was how welcoming everybody was, but now i am kind of regretting coming here.

Every day when im alone my mind wanders to my recent ex. I love her. We have a very involved history. We broke up due to the distance in our relationship and promised each other to give it another shot when we move back together. She calls me at 3am some mornings because she cant sleep and tells me she misses me. I'm really trying hard to stay friends with her but recently went home and visited her and there was a guy there that i know has a thing for her. He was just giving her a car ride supposidly to school and her mom keeps me in the loop because she loves me and thinks her daughter acted to fast. But staying friends and constantly talking and then going through no communication droughts is hurting and making me depressed thinking about her on a daily basis and i just dont know what to do anymore.
