So the comment about white people being all racist is kind of interesting to me. Firstly, of course white people are all racist, but that's not surprising, and it's not as obvious as some would like to view it. Racism isn't always so clear cut and outwardly depicted. It can be something as simple as largely held pre-conceived notions people have about others based on stereotypes.

Secondly, there's a problem with that sentiment. They act as if only white people are racist. Sure, white people are by far the most ignorant (in America), and some are far more racist, because white people have sort of made a culture of themselves here, so they have it easier when it comes to spewing all kinds of racist and ignorant comments, even if it's not intended to be, but that doesn't mean other people of other races aren't, and in other areas of the world, the situation is largely reversed.

Most people aren't actively racist nowadays, but EVERYONE is a little racist. Let me repeat that. EVERYONE IS SLIGHTLY RACIST.

It doesn't have to be a bad thing to acknowledge that there is still a problem. It does, however, become a problem when people go along in life thinking they're the one magical person who isn't racist. Quit acting like the sun shines out of your ass and just be tactful in what you say, and watch for if you ever have a dumb moment so you can identify it more easily and, if you have kids, hopefully are able to instill a gradually less racist mindset until it actually IS mostly negligible.

I honestly hate when people say art majors don't do shit ( I'm a Bio Major). Being an artist is really, really hard work. I can't draw a stick figure to save my life, but both of my parents are artists. That is their full time job. I've seen them both struggle to get commissions or sell their own artwork. Neither of them have degrees, but wish they did. They never got theirs because people made fun of them. Saying "wow, you have to have a degree to use a colored pencil? a paintbrush? etc.." It really frustrates me. Luckily, my parents are doing very well now. They have both had artwork in some really big art galleries. So don't talk crap about Art majors, their going to have a hard enough time as it is. Good luck Art Majors! I hope to have some UNT alumni Artwork on my walls soon.

As the semester comes to an end, my only regret is that I didn't get fucked up enough.

I'm lying in bed next to my boyfriend, but can't stop thinking of a girl I've never even kissed. I've always felt mostly heterosexual, I would judge myself to be a Kinsey 2 perhaps. I've always found women attractive, but never enough that I've thought about a relationship before. My boyfriend would be fine with me dating another woman, but I'm not sure I would ask her to be with me when I am with someone else. I think she likes me too, as much as I can judge these things. I have no idea what to do!
