The multicultural/social justice/world citizen movement seems to be headed towards a place where everyone should have a bit of ethnic pride, whether you're Black, Red, Brown, Yellow, White, etc. Maybe I'm stuck in the past but I have a hard time bringing myself to give a hot damn about what anyone's ethnicity is. Sometimes I offend people by saying this, especially fellow students who come from backgrounds different from what most Americans come from (fuck being proud of your nationality too, while I'm at it) and have strong ties to their roots. This makes me uncomfortable and a bit guilty so I don't express this view publicly much anymore (hence the confession). I feel like Carlin put it best when he said, "pride should be something you achieve or attain on your own, not something that happens by accident of birth." On the other hand, I dunno, maybe my views are a bit antiquated. I grew up without any feeling of being attached to a culture (my family never ever talked about our family history including ethnicity and it's something we still don't really care about to this day). Maybe we can have a civil discussion about this in the comments section. Note: I would like to develop a more nuanced view on this subject. I see color, and recognize that I'm in a position of privilege by being a white male, so let's start the discussion off my acknowledging that color blindness and unequal balance of power/privledge are problems. If you don't believe this to be true...um...please have a constructive/positive reason for thinking otherwise before commenting. Just sayin'.

I'm looking for a guy who's funny, attractive and has his goals sorted out. I'm kind of bubbly and will laugh at your jokes as long as they aren't cruel. In my down time I watch a lot of HBO and showtime and eat junk food (which accumulates in my jeans, but DO NOT point it out unless we're cool, haha). Not fat, just thick. Seriously. I can be a bit loud during sex and I love the look on a guys face when he sees how enthusiastic I am at giving head, haha. I don't like work but I'm not a homebody. I've been told that I am very maternal and compassionate. Most of my time is spent on facebook or studying. Anyway, I'm tired of being lonely so if you're looking for someone with all these qualities and more (you'll find them if you look!) leave a comment and I might add you. My name is Marcus.

I don't understand how there are people at the rec that I've been seeing consistently since my freshman year who still look exactly the same, 3 years later.
