This is basically the best year for music in a very, very long time.

I'm the person who made the stand against ironic racism. It's funny how people are quick to label me racist when I'm not even white. I don't benefit from institutional racism like white people do. You're just pissed that I'm calling you out on your hipster racist bullshit. You can call me racist, but 1) I don't hate white people. I just hate when you folk deal with a complex issue by replacing "clever" racist jokes with feelings of genuine love and concern. And B) I can't be racist because I don't benefit from the institutionalized white supremacy at all. I can't say what I really think because white people will get uncomfortable and it will cause problems were I work and study. They get uncomfortable when I talk too much about my culture or how uncomfortable it makes ME to hear racist jokes told nonchalantly all the time. I just don't want to hear that shit and that is my right. I think it's the least I deserve since racism is still rampant and white people don't know what it's like to be the victim of it like I do.

I'm sick and tired of white people making "ironic" racist jokes and defending them with the "relax, everybody's a little bit racist and we're just making fun of racism" excuse. Either you ARE racist or you ARE NOT. STOP SAYING RACIST SHIT with the expectation that POC will always laugh at your "cleverness". If you want to be anti racist, do charity work for the cause and/do do constructive other things that show you are owning up your privilege.
