#1590 To #1342, Mr/Miss "rape happens for a reason": i'm from the middle east and you want to know what it's like there? the men are so much worse than they are here. i heard of a story where one man was punching a woman and a group of men ran over and watched. a woman can't walk down the street (no matter what she's wearing) without hearing catcalls and whistles. and they do it just to be degrading, not because they actually want to be with any of the women they do this to. There are SO many rapes there, but as people commented on your post, most of them get overlooked because a woman's opinion/story means very little there. The whole culture is screwed up. Rape is never the fault of the victim. With consensual sex, it "takes two to tango"; with rape, it takes the stupidity and cruelty of the rapist to do that to someone. please don't even make jokes like that.. everything does happen for a reason but rape should never be one of those things. that is all
