I am an African American guy, and it really pisses me off when other African Americans judge you and get pissed at you because you don't dress or act like a sterotypical black person. Because I am African American, do you expect me to wear big clothing and have my pants hanging off my ass? Because I am African American, do you expect me to be loud and obnoxious in public? Because I am African American, do you expect me to talk lyke dis mos of da tyme and use slang? Just because I dress nice, am not loud in public, use actual words and talk like a normal person, does not make me any less African American than you. Just because I present myself differently does not make me a sell out. If you confine yourself to the stereotypical beliefs and live in such a narrow minded way, that makes you a sell out. It just pisses me off that we are now in the year 2013 and people still believe that a certain race has to act a certain way. It pisses me off even more when the race that you are part of looks at you like a lesser person if you do not live within the stereotypes society has created.

#1857 I made it a point to start working out last semester and get into better shape. I've always been skinny and found it hard to gain weight, in part, due to a high metabolism. I did it for me, but it would be a lie if I said it wasn't for the type of women I'm attracted to (smart, healthy, cute face with a slim waist) as well. Just as you need to dress like a CEO to be one, you should be physically fit if you want someone physically fit. Since last semester, I've added ~23 lbs (150 lbs to 173 lbs) and am ~27 lbs from my goal of 200 lbs (I'm also 6'2” for perspective purposes).
When I went back home to see family and friends, for the first time in a year, everyone was shocked I wasn't a twig anymore lol. It's such a good feeling when people notice gains and you get compliments from others you see often, or when you're getting checked out while walking around. I can't wait to go back home and see what the reaction will be next time.
Also, my grades are better than they've been in 2 years; whether that's due to exercising or not, I'll take it haha.
The only downside is that my favorite pair of athletic shorts (for years) hardly fit and are too loose! Idk how that works but oh well.
