When I came to pray one day, the men were praying in the area by the stairs in a group and left the spot behind the stairs for the women. The men gave this space up for the women so that people passing by can’t see us prostrating.

And the thought brought tears to my eyes. I had never in my life felt more protected or preserved as a woman. These men of Islam blocked off the area behind the stairs, hidden, for me, so that I can pray freely without having any eyes preying on me…

This is Islamic principle. The women of Islam are preserved, taken care of, protected, given worth and esteem… Oppression is nowhere in our vocabulary. Stop trying to force it in.

I had an appointment for a mock interview at the Career Center. The person I had the mi with wasn't even there. My appointment wasn't even in the system when they sent me a confirmation email last week when I signed up. I had to print out the confirmation email just to show the girl at the front desk that I actually had an appointment. And this organization I joined was a no-show on campus. What the shit, UNT.

And pretty soon we started a fling. And then a few months past and my girlfriend wanted me to visit her. So I had to make a choice , and I choice my gf but I regret it so much because she has a bf and I don't have a gf and the feelings are back and even stronger. I would consider marrying her if I had the chance.
