#3831 Here is my confession, and I also need some advice: I'm a business major, and I've known this girl for 2 semesters. During the final month of last semester, we started talking during class... and she threw some hints that she was interested in me. I wasn't interested in her last semester since I didn't know her well enough. This semester, we found out we had a class together and we have become closer. I've talked to her a lot more, really gotten to know her and I think she is cool. I even worked up the courage to get her number and I text her from time to time (maybe once or twice a week, short conversations). I just don't know if she likes me as more than just a friend at this point. About a week ago, she told me that she told her friends about me, she expressed interest in my clothing style and even noticed my nervous ticks (tapping my pen, chewing my bottom lip, tapping my foot... just small stuff). At the same time, I have the same class with my two friends and she has also gotten to know them through me. I also learned that she got their numbers as well and they text sometimes as well... and we are all going to hang out at the mall next Saturday. At this point, I just don't know if she likes me, sees me only as a friend or if she likes one of my friends :/. I really just want to text her and ask her if she wants to go out sometime... but I am not sure how that would go. Any suggestions?

#3833 I'm so confused... I'm from a place where there's not a lot of racial diversity but, why do black people around here call each other "Monica"? I hear it all the time- What up Monica! Monica up my crib! Monica's in the hood! and more things like that and it's even in a lot of the rap songs. Is this like a cultural thing? Can I make friends with them like that if I go up to one and say "yo Monica, what's hangin'!"
