#4250 I recently joined Talons here at UNT, and even though they're all about unity, family, and spreading spirit with school tradition blah blah BLAH, its realistically like your still back in high school. Everyone's all clicked up,they all introduce themselves first couple of times but never really get to know you, I feel like the actual members should take the initiative, in getting to know the pledges a little more, than "Hi what's your name great,nice to meet you" its just so generic and really unappealing.

#4248 I work for a local convenient store, and what makes me irrationally angry is when people use food stamps to buy junk food for themselves, and then turn around and pay for cigarettes and alcohol with their own money! I'm all for assistance if you actually need it, but that's absurd. Rant over. GMG

#4247 Last week, I saw a girl holding up a sign saying, "WARNING: HATE SPEECH AHEAD" in front of one of those crazy preachers that are always on campus. Not only did the dude actually not say anything racist or homophobic (she even told me he didn't), but fuck the use of the phrase "hate speech".

That phrase is nothing more than a dishonest attempt at censoring free speech. Either you have the right to express your opinion, or you live in a dictatorship where a group of people decide what you can or can't talk about. Even if your point of view is right and morally just, it's fucking stupid to even think that you can live in an enlightened society in which all the bad points of view are banished from the public.
