#4619 So I've been hanging out with this girl for little over a month now. Everytime we've hung out its just been the two of us. I haven't reallly put any big moves on her because she's leaving the state for an internship she got for the summer and anything serious between us would just be lost until next school year. But so last week we were gonna hang out and instead of it just being the two of us, she invited her sister to chill with us too. And leave it to me to be totally star-struck by her gorgeous sister who is also currently single. I think i might like her sister more than her, but i really like both of them, and i feel like it would be a dickish move to ask her sister out. #4615 I come from an extremely conservative and overly-religious household, like to the point that I wouldn't doubt my folks agree with Westboro Baptist Church. I am still pretty dependent on them too because my 2 jobs even with over 40 hours, just barely pays rent, phone, car payments, and insurance, but leaves me with very little for even food much less entertainment. The condition for their funding is forcing me to be extremely devoted to religion like they are and marry a "good pure religious woman" I am honestly sick of this religion, I am sick of the way my parents behave because of it, I am tired of going to church because my mom makes me do it as to not cut me off rather than of my own free will, I am sick to death of them not letting me have fun with friends either because they monitor my spending via their credit card and things like bars and arcades are as bad as whorehouses in their eyes. I just want to be free of this hell. Supposedly, this religion helps me achieve my way into heaven but so far I'm stuck in hell. I want nothing to do with it anymore, but there's no way out. What can I do, UNT?

#4613 This is going to sound crazy, but I can often tell what someone’s political affiliation is by the tone of their voice, their body language, and even their facial features. My radar rarely lies. For example, democrats/liberals/progressives usually show more curiosity in their eyes when you talk to them. If I’m talking to someone who is liberal, they are often very passionate about human rights and they tend to read me very well and understand the emotion behind the words. You can see in their eyes and expression that they are going through a huge spectrum of emotional responses in their mind. Conservatives/republicans however, tend to think in terms of “right” and “wrong”. When I talk to my conservative friends, they tend to be smart, but it can be a workout because conservatives IMO tend to be more passionate about having an opinion on something instead of wanting to make a connection with the person they are sharing their opinion with. They often have a bit more of a monotone voice, a dimmer sense of humor, and, in my opinion, possess kind of an authoritative attitude and aura that can be overwhelming at times. Granted, these are broad strokes I’m painting with here and I don’t want to give anyone the impression that I think I’ve found some revelatory insight into the psychology of political attitudes. I consider this a confession because I rarely ever share it with anyone because of how judgemental it sounds. But I promise that I am coming from a place of observation, and am in no way saying “people are republican or democrat because _________”. I just want to share some things I noticed from my own life experiences.
