#5134 I tired of seeing people bitch and moan about the new union. First off, it was put to a student vote and it passed. If you were here for that and didn't vote, go fuck yourself. If you're a new student since then, I'm sorry, but blame the students ahead of you, not the faculty.
Second, do any of you remember the old union? The building built back in '76 when our student population 17K? The one completely unfit for the size of our campus by '87, not even coming close to what we need today? Yeah, it was not good. It was old, rundown, and a giant ass fire hazard. They spent 20 years trying to expand it before student vote finally passed it.
If you weren't a student here when the old union was open, then do some research before you start complaining. If you were, then there's really no excuse for your ignorant bitching and moaning.
