#5701 I have tried every diet you can imagine, and not just a week or so, about 6 months of solid trying. The most weigh I've ever managed to loose is about 15 pounds. That would be about 40 shy of where I should be if BMI is the scale we're using. Not too long ago my doctor tested my thyroid, Lo and Behold, it was basically non-functioning. No amount of dieting in the world would have helped me loose weight while my thyroid was literally wasting space in my throat. Since I've started taking a thyroid hormone replacement drug I've lost a couple of pounds every time we up my dose (you can only up so much at a time because you don't want to go too high).
Moral of my story, don't judge someone by their size, you don't know what they are going through, and what is going on inside.
