I know the coolest thing a white person can do in front of other white people is to fill their ipods with music from other races, ethnicities, and cultures, or appropriate that music/art into their own art, but for fuck's sake, STOP ruining black art. Every time a white artist or band plays music heavily influenced by blacks (blues, rock, funk etc) they tend to just kill the vibe and ruin everything that made that music interesting in the first place. Get in touch with your own roots and leave music by other races and ethnicities the fuck alone, please. :)

The part of me thar loves psychedelic music, alternative, and electronica/IDM, absolutely HATES the music of the 80's. But the older I get, the more i realize it is pretty much the golden decade for radio pop. Once Huey Lewis, Wang Chung, glam rock, and other flavors of the month (that every decade has) are sifted out, you've got Prince, MJ, and Madonna all in their prime, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Midnight Star, Kool and the Gang's Celebrate!, Tears For Fears, etc. This took too long to realize
