So on this whole Herbalife thing. I completely agree it's a pyramid scheme, and a lot of these people who run these nutrition clubs really only care about their own profit and try to make you feel foolish if you don't take what they're selling (The guy who runs North Texas Nutrition on Eagle in particular was a real douche, even to his wife). HOWEVER, the products worked for me, and I've been able to keep the fat off and train my body well, but I haven't taken one of their products in 5 months. All you really need to do is eat organic/natural foods and know when to eat certain foods and work out at least twice a week without being strictly cardio (yes, ladies too!). Their distributors will never know of any exit strategy when you don't need the products anymore. Most of them are trained to say something like,"Why would you want to stop?" In reality most of them know nothing about eating healthily aside from the obvious like avoiding fast food. To sum it up though, the products can work if you take them as directed and have the money to buy them every two weeks for a couple of months to see results, otherwise, don't bother. Oh, and if you want to maintain your dignity, don't become a distributor.

Let me try to help out some white people: If you are in an argument with a POC who called you out for being racist, and you think you are NOT racist...you've already lost the argument. Why? Because 1) POC know white people better than white people know themselves. We are bombarded with your worldview via your media, schools, and daily life experiences. 2) By trying to discredit a POC's feelings about what you just said, you are asserting power over them that they don't have. Let's say you are hanging around some black folk at work and you say "Do you rap?" and were totally serious. Maybe you didn't MEAN anything racist by it and a cigar is just a cigar to you, but you also put something VERY uncomfortable in the air that is going to cause those black folk a lot of stress that will stay with them every day until they can't take it anymore and quit. THAT is how racism works. THAT is how privilege affects those around you. The more you know.

I sell Herbalife and I will admit there is a lot of misinformation circulating about the business. The products are there to AID you with weight loss. The products alone will not help you get your results. The products, Eating right, studying the right disciplines for weight loss/muscle gain and the attitude (motivation to work out every week) are all things you should tie in when using Herbalife. Just like any other products out there from GNC, any health store or on the internet you have to look into many factors before taking any product on the market like the effects it will make on your body and also knowing what your body can and cannot take. That's why we have personal development and our HOM's to help justify the business and help people gain more knowledge about the company, the body, and the mind. Yes, you can see a dietitian and yes you can eat healthier. Nobody in this business is telling you that you can't seek extra help at all. All we're saying is Herbalife is another solution used to help you reach your goals with a healthy lifestyle. The products do work and the business has sponsorships such as LA Galaxy soccer program that has the letters written on their jersey. I apologize to all the distributors who pressured many to buy our products. That's not the purpose of our business but rather to help people stay fit, have more energy, and be more confident. :)
