I made the same mistake recently although my relationship wasn't as long, one year two months, I've loved my best friend since the day we met. I hurt the person I love more than anything in the whole world. I broke my own heart. I was in a long distance relationship and I just didn't try hard enough. I gave up when it got to difficult and lost the most important person in my life. Everything I say feels so cliche because words for once in my life just aren't supportive enough. I want to drive six hours and jump into his arms. Pull his face to mine. Tell him it's ok. Match our fingers again. Never leave. But the burden of responsibility to something that feels so pointless keeps me here. I didn't want to compare my relationship to yours I just needed someone else to write to.

After reading some of UNT's confessions, I'm slightly less ashamed of TWU.
