#17741 I'm a senior and it seems like at this point everyone in my major is in the same classes. Because of this, I'm in the same class as this one guy during all but one of my classes. Everyone knows his name because at least once during class you hear someone near you mutter, "Fucking *name*". He won't shut up. He always has to comment on SOMETHING. I counted it today in my last class. He spoke up or asked a question 16 times. SIXTEEN. I have to give a major shout out to the professors though, because I don't think I could keep my cool teaching him. Sometimes you see them calm themselves and take a big breath but I've never seen one go off on him. The closest thing I've seen is one of the professors (from the class with the 16 times) tell him he needs to think about the things that come out of his mouth a little better. He said it calmly and fatherly. The dude had made a pretty shitty comment about what women are good for in our field (Spoiler alert! It was sexual) and then acted like he meant nothing by it. There's maybe 5 women in the class of like 40 but everyone had the look of "oh god, fucking ***", even the ones you'd think would ignore someone being shitty. I was certain that this one woman who sits near him in class was about to throttle him but the professor calmed everyone down. Not gonna lie, I would have loved to have seen that. She ex military and probably knows how to kill a man twice her size. Basically, everyone in that class deserves a medal for not going after him and I'm actually pretty proud of all of us.

#17739 Just to clarify, pedestrians only have the right of way in crosswalks. That's why we have crosswalks. If you get hit jaywalking, a good defense lawyer will turn it into your fault or at least a no fault determined situation. Dixie is not a campus owned street, the City of Cookeville owns it, so campus rules do not apply. The crosswalks were put there by the city.

#17735 I confess that I think the people riding the Campus Rec bikes (as well as many other cyclists) are fucking inconsiderate as hell to pedestrians and those in cars. If you want to be treated and respected like a car on the road, follow the RULES of the ROAD. That means stop at stop signs, yield to pedestrians, and don't ride recklessly or speed. Damn
