#15933 My girl took a pregnancy test and it tested positive, so I proposed to her the next day with the plans of getting married this summer. It turns out that it was a false positive but she still wants to get married this summer anyway. I want to put it off about 3-4 years until we graduate.

Should I go ahead and get married anyway? I love this girl and want to marry her some day. We have been together since high school and are still madly in love. I just don't want to jump into marriage so soon into our lives. I'm at a loss, what should I do??

#15932 Made the realization today that it's okay to be single in college. Recently I have been a bit down (but getting better) because I'm single and almost all of my friends are in a long term relationship with a guy or getting married or engaged. But it dawned on me that I have the freedom to do whatever I want in the world. I am not tied down so if I want to take a job anywhere in the world I can. My major will allow it and I'm single so there isn't anything holding me back. If I want to buy a plane ticket today and go to Italy or Thailand or wherever I can. So don't confuse your single status as a curse. Embrace it. Spend your time, skills, and brain power on more productive things. Example: get a degree, travel, be an expert at something, volunteer, or whatever your heart desires. Don't let the status of "single" get in the way of your happiness and your dreams. Just something to think about.

#15931 I confess I am losing faith in the idea of a lifetime marriage. Is it even possible anymore for two people to stay in love? I know of couples that have been together for decades and yet they are getting divorced and cheating /being cheated on and seem to throw it away as easily as a piece of paper. It also seems as if couples are entering this union without serious thought. Do people still believe in marriage as a sacred bond that is supposed to be with that one special person?
