#16188 As a gamer here at Tech I'm really upset at the cooperation of the ITS people. And I'm sure that goes to everyone on campus trying to play Destiny on the wifi here. I personally talked to the IT peeps in clement about the issue with Destiny and error code centipede and was rudely and abruptly interrupted by what sounds like a rehearsed line "Yeah, it's a common issue, we're trying to find a solution it'll be a couple days."
Bungie just recently announced they solved the issue and that our IT people will have to download a patch from the security device vendor.. Personally I don't think they will but miracles happen.
Petitions also happen ;) It will, if it comes to that.. I know it may just be a game to some people but for others it a release from the stress of studying and life. Question is, how many people would help sign it?

#16183 I recently got my financial aid taken away because I couldn't attend tech anymore. I take care of my sick father and I can't really go back to school. My question is, can I message someone who hasn't followed the college path but still found an okay job? I need to know how to go about this. I'm looking for a government job right now, because you know, benefits.
Admin Note; I wish you the best of luck!

#16182 It always feels like my family and my boyfriend are fighting for my love.. if my family doesn't like something I want to do, then my boyfriend swoops in and supports me (and trash talks them) . If my boyfriend fights with me over something he doesn't like then my family swoops in (and trash talks him).. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, I'm just tired of everyone agreeing with me (and being mean behind each other's backs) to get on my good side. Well, at least quit shit talking, they might actually agree with me and I'm paranoid.

#16178 I ride my bike everywhere, but I secretly hope that cyclists who don't follow road rules get hit by a car. Not enough to seriously injure them, just enough to mess up their bike. Ditto for people who walk into the crosswalk without actually looking.

#16181 PSA: keep an eye on your friends that always have something funny to say, especially if they tend to use self-depracative humor. Chances are they may be depressed and are using humor as an emotional shield. Think about Robin Williams or Dean from Supernatural. There was someone from my hometown who was like this and they ended up taking their life. No one saw it coming. He always seemed happy and always had a smile on his face. He had a contagious laugh that would always get the whole room chuckling. The whole town is devastated. It was incredibly sad watching his father choke up while talking about his son at the funeral. If this sounds like one of your friends, ask them how they are doing every now and then. You may end up saving a life.
