#17168 The other day, this girl asked me out, and I told her no. She asked why and I told her she wasn't my type. Then she started yelling at me, "Oh! It's because I'm fat isn't it?" I reiterated that she wasn't my type. She continued yelling at me, "I'll have you know that I go to the gym 9 hours a week. I bust my ass on the ellipticals. I only ear fresh fruit, veggies, and lean proteins. Oh, and by the way, when I was trying to get thin and starving myself to only 500 calories a day, I still didn't lose weight. My whole family is like that. It's the way our genetics works, etc." So I had this morbidly obese chick yelling at me for a good 10 minutes until she ran out of breath. What really baffled me was when she pulled out a snack-sized bag of Cheetohs from her purse and began to open them mid-yelling at me. For the most part, I just kind of stood there trying to tune out this deranged woman yelled at me while ever so often eating a few Cheetohs. When she was done yelling I just walked away because I'm timid and didn't know what to say. Probably the most confusing thing I've ever witnessed.

#17165 I hate that I question my worth because I am insecure about my looks. I hate that I can not conceal my insecurity. I would have to get plastic surgery to do that. I push people away because I don't understand how someone would want to talk to an ugly person like me. There are so many beautiful girls on campus. They are more appealing than me. It makes me question their motives when guys flirt and ask me out
. I am so ugly, so what could they possibly want?

#17163 I confess that I don't know what to do. I'm a nice, quiet guy. I like making people happy, making eye contact and asking them about themselves. A handful of times women think I'm flirting with them and get hung up on me. This seems particularly common with Christian women, but I'm not a Christian. I think they wouldn't be interested in me if they knew me better.
Anyways, feedback is welcome. How do I still be kind and a legit friend to people with out being misleading?

#17162 I confess I'm tired of the "dropping hints" and "I wish they'd notice me." Hints don't work. If you're into someone, take a few deep breaths and walk up to them. Say "Hi, you're attractive." It's tough, I know, I used to be a shy guy. I still get weak at the knees if I try to tell an attractive person how I feel. The worst case is that the other person is a dick. If that happens, you know that you're better without them anyways.
Posting to TTU confessions that the girl in your dorm is so cute and you like her isn't romantic. Clear communication is romantic.
