#1086 Thanks to the new marching band director and staff members, pretty much none of the old/veteran members want to come back. They take away Southeastern'a traditional pregame they've had for years, they are easily offended. They banned us from calling the other team "trash" and "bad" and "losers." Because it'll "hurt people's feelings." And they hold the band way over time every rehearsal, if teachers held students over, students would walk out and leave. Have fun with an all newbie band next year.

Omega- Pardon me for what I am about to say, but it sounds like the new staff just wants to promote a sense of professionalism. Them making you practice past the time rehearsal typically ends shows that they are willing to work more than they are obliged to in order to have a good sounding band... and SLU has to be paying these people peanuts seeing as how our higher ed budget has been butchered since the Jindal administration. It sounds like your new band staff just wants to prevent you all from being called "losers". At least they give a damn.

#1083 This is a call-out to the President of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). I don't even know where to start from, to be honest. Dude, there were literally other members who were deemed fit for President, but whatever you said or how you became President and made empty promises is beyond me. We literally had no meeting this semester, NONE! I personally do not think it is fair to run to become a club's president and not be actively involved. There were other people who could have taken that spot. It is majorly a volunteer organization and I remember how much the club did together last fall to help the community. This not only helped me feel I am contributing to the community, there's just this feeling of wanting to do more after volunteering. Thank you for ruining it all for everyone this fall. The National Headquarters will definitely be hearing of this ??????
