#7163 I confess that I am a gay man who really wants to join a fraternity. I know of some people who are gay and used to be in one while in school, but it was something that was never talked about or mentioned and I refuse to do that again. I'm worried that I won't be picked because I'm openly gay. Of course they won't say that's the reason but I'm not that stupid. And if I am picked I would be worried that I won't be able to be myself. I want to be accepted and I want to be apart of a fraternity that is substantial. I'm normally not insecure but let's be honest, a big part of being in a fraternity is the social aspect and what people think of you. I'm very torn.

Omega- I know of a few fraternities with openly gay members at SLU.

i commute,and don't know too many people on campus. when is registration for sophomores? i've scoured the slu homepage but can only get the general: nov 17-21.

#7143 I have somewhat of a rant, but I'm sure many of you feel the same way. All you "country boys" out there, would you please explain to me how it makes sense to tuck your jeans into your boots? I grew up working on a ranch and I've worn boots all my life, but I've never found this to make sense. It's pretty obvious yall are trying to show off how "country" yall are. It's almost as bad as the people who tuck their shirts in only just enough so that everyone can see how massive their belt buckle is. Being country doesn't mean you have to be dumb.
