#24257 A little over a year ago, I mustered the courage to leave an abuser who belittled me and bombarded me with emotional and sexual abuse my freshman year, cutting me off from friends and the things that made me who I was. I lost so many months of freshman year to them, and though my innocence was robbed from me, I am now as strong as ever, and am heading towards the life and career that I want. Well, today I found out that they dropped out of Purdue, and I can't help but feel an enormous amount of accomplishment. I remember them saying what a terrible place this was. Honestly, if there is one inkling of a chance they're reading this, this is what I have to say: fuck you. You will never ruin my love for this school, even if you couldn't stand the heat. Your treatment of me backfired and only made me stronger, and I won't even remember your bitter face when I walk up those steps at graduation.
