#24815 I like Biology. I'm a TA for a Biology course, even, but one of the stupid things that biologists do is overuse of abbreviations. Example, the "TATA box" is found in mRNA, which is essentially converted into protein in your body. That's bound by a "TATA binding protein," or TBD. However, the TBD can associate with several other subunits, which are called "TBD associated factors," or "TAF." Like, biology is genuinely interesting to me, but the abbreviations upon abbreviations thing messes with me, especially if I forget what a single letter stands for in just one layer of it. That can mess everything up.
