Yes they can. Can they then back to US for work? Yes they can. Actually you probably gonna be surprised by how many Americans are doing so. Will they experience difficulties? Yes I bet they will. But wait, we are experiencing difficulties PLUS racism. My story is, I'm with my boyfriend for 4 years and gay marriage is not yet legal in our country. And it's just not possible to let our parents support us on a travel visa and get married here. So we both applied for grad school and now we got marriage certificate last month. We are both leaving this country June 2018 and I am more than willing to post what I'm experiencing everyday to let you understand what racism really is. :-)
