#26691 I have a question to local Hoosiers, please answer my questions below.

1. Is it normal for road construction to start, then gets delayed, then renegotiated, then delayed again, then something happens what ends up in the newspaper, someone screws up on the pipeline, then the contract gets cancelled, then someone picks it up - costing more of our tax payers money, then gets it done at least more than one class action?

2. I have the highest respect for our construction workers who works in the bitter cold, and hot humid summer, but why, why does this reoccur again and again?

3. Why are construction companies with bad cases doing the construction again?

4. Why does it take such a long time to repair something, like significantly longer?

5. Can they survive with this kind of business model in the competitive cities?

6. Why are West Lafayette city's roads on campus never repaired? (Russel, University, and Waldron)? If WL would not get them done, can't Purdue get them done?

One the last note. I believe WL, Purdue, and Lafayette roads can get a lot better if we let our construction management students work on city projects. I know it is illegal, but just saying. I'm just tired of people, especially international students complaining about the road conditions throughout the county. This cannot be happening because the city officials and the construction companies are stupid. Otherwise, logically, they would not survive. We can do better, honestly.
