#27112 Being an Indian American at Purdue is pretty boring, especially as a grad student. There are probably some Indian American undergrads but none in grad school. There are some inclusive foreign students, but most are cliquey af here and I feel like they see me more as an acquaintance than a friend. White people here are fairly friendly but I can tell most I've come across subconsciously don't feel comfortable being anything more than acquaintances with me. I would just blame my personality, but I've had good friends - foreign, white, black, etc. - when I was in other American cities for undergrad, and not being around other Indian Americans didn't matter.

#27108 I came to US but I just faced loneliness for 4 years. Now I am sad because I feel I haven't achieved anything and have returned to my country. I feel bad for my parents, they shelled out a lot of money for my degree.

#27107 Truth is, I don't know how to be happy, I have friends from high school who post about having kids, being married for 10 years, really successful in life, some are making 6 digits a years, traveling the world, some share photos showing very loving families, I never had that. I think it's why I'm a failure at almost every thing I do, might be why I feel more like I belong in the punk rock scene, but even there I feel out of place. I'm not sure what to do in life, not sure where to go how to do it, or anything.

#27106 I'm new to the US. So when do you need to give tips? Do you have to do so at places like Silver Dipper? What if you don't have small change?
