#27797 I am slowly yet surely going insane. My mental health disabilities are getting worse, and the medication I take and therapy I undergo have stopped working. I live at the edge of society. Everything is artificial and imposed. Enough.

#27796 I'm a first year CS student with no experience in programming or computer science in general. I pretty much just chose it because I thought I should go with something STEM related and it just seemed like the best fit for me at the time. I'm having a really hard time adjusting as it seems everyone else knows what they are doing and I am the dumbest one out of hundreds of people. I'm especially having a hard time in the labs every week and I am completely clueless about everything we do. Despite studying and trying to catch up to everyone else, nothing is clicking for me. To top it off I haven't made any friends since I'm extremely shy, which also deters me from asking for help. I've thought about changing my major but I feel like I could like it if I thought I could develop an actual understanding of the material, but I am truly starting to doubt myself and my academic ability. I don't think I belong here and I don't know what to do to stop feeling so miserable. I need help.

#27794 Why is any attempt to criticize the feminist movement met with mockery and ad hominems like "You are sexist/misogynist/racist... You won't have any women in your life..." even though the person didn't express any hatred or negativity towards a certain group of people. Even the nicest of feminists who truly want equality tend to get hostile when their ideologies are being challenged. If you are the kind of person who believes that simply disagreeing with you makes someone a sexist, what does that make you?
I get it, the definition says its about equality and I do believe that the movement at its core is about achieving equal rights. But there's so much more to feminism than that. It comes with a lot of baggage - the feminist theory, the patriarchy, toxic masculinity - and I don't have to necessarily agree with those to believe that women should have equal rights. Moreover, simply criticizing the feminist view of the world and their means of interpreting gender roles does not mean I hate women. There is no logical basis to that argument.

#27792 Heard a group of girls talking about (I assume) their other friend saying something along the line of "have you seen her without makeup? She looks so different I can't even recognize her" and noticed them watching over me, and laughed while whispering. Yes, I wear makeup. All I want to say to them is, I'm glad you're happy and confident of your own face & body but I wish you understand how we struggle everyday to FEEL beautiful. All we want is self-confidence, not attention.

#27790 I am an international student and graduated last May. I still don't have any job and I feel like I have wasted so much money just to get a fancy piece of paper that feels worthless. I try every day, have applied to more than hundreds of places and still nothing. I feel like crap and I thought my miseries will end after graduation but apparently not. Very soon I will not even have enough money to eat. For some people life never stops being a nightmare.
