#28075 Part of me wishes we had a natural disaster that caused a massive amount of deaths. Not an earth quake but something dependent upon weather. Something that struck a major city causing tens of thousands of deaths because there are just too many people that actively deny climate change especially with the current administration. We need an absolute devastating sucker punch to the face to rip someone out of their denial and absolutely force them to face reality. There are plenty of massive economic opportunities to make a great deal of money but of course its just another example of the conservative party (have to be trait specific rather than party name because people will act like the republicans during the civil war that freed the slaves is the same party of republicans today even though the parties just switched names) refuses to get with the times on virtually all fields like space exploration, computer technology, medicine, energy, anything sociological, etc etc. The US society constantly has to rip the party from their comfort zone and drag them into the present day, wait a few decades, and then do it again. Either get with the times or be left behind to die in poverty from not being able to keep up with economic opportunities. Quit dragging everyone else down with you (really just ranting against the far right for the most part lets be clear but had to use a broad term in order to get a broadly accepted political ideological identity).
