#28426 I was born in the USA, I am white, and my family has enough money to live comfortably. I know I have so much freedom and opportunities here, but I often wish that I had a more interesting background. I see international students and wonder how hard they must have worked to get here and what experiences they have had, what types of things they have overcome. I have made so many bad choices and mistakes now I feel like those things are all that I am. I know most of the time if I see someone different from myself they are just minding their own business, but I feel guilty because of the current political climate and the my own cultural heritage. I want to make friends with different types of people but I don't want to offend anyone or embarass myself. I am also not looking for a romantic relationship with anyone which makes it hard to talk to people because I don't know what they want and I don't want to hurt them by saying that I'm not interested in them the same way.
