#28710 What does it take for a socially anxious, shy, and mildly autistic guy to get a girlfriend? I am 23 and never had a girlfriend, never been on a date. Living a very isolated life and I don't like it. The only aspect of my life that's going fine is my academical progress, which is also beginning to drop due to loneliness and depression. Online dating doesn't work because 1/50 women I message gives a response which is also very vague and seems like she isn't interested in a conversation at all. I know I "just have to go out more" which is what I have been doing past 5 months. Joined multiple clubs, been to meetup events, etc. But again, it's so damn hard to see everyone jill with each other and not be able to strike a conversation or know what to say. I am happy for people who are social and have developed the skills to navigate through social dynamics. But I would be lying if I said I didn't feel bitter about it. Seeing everyone have fun, experience intimacy, love, romance, and sex, and knowing I have never been able to experience any of that my entire life really throws my mind into a negative spiral, leading to neverending state of depression and it feels like hell.

Be confident in yourself, but show interest in her life. If you are insecure, that's OK, most people are about something. Your feelings (esp. towards us) are an aphrodesiac. Also, while there is a common stereotype of women wanting to be dominated during sex, this can be very problematic. Especially for casual sex (which I do not reccommend) people don't communicate their needs very well, which means you have to be very careful. Find a way to dominate them gently. I had a guy pull on my necklace while I was straddling him to get me to kiss him and to this day it is the sexiest thing that has happened to me (and I've had a lot of sex). A note on kissing and "I love you"s - don't overdo it. Quality over quantity - if you care about the girl make all of your "firsts" special. If it works out, you have an amazing love story, if it doesn't you will still have memories and shared experiences to learn from.
