#6105 I just got a letter from Purdue telling me I've been waitlisted. Their deciding factor is going to be my transcript from this semester. My grades have been absolutely horrible (88 in English, 73 in Pre-Cal, 96 in Theology, 98 in AP Art) and I dropped out of Pre-AP Physics into Environmental Science, but the thing is, because I transferred into Enviro so late into the semester, I wasn't able to make up all the work. So I'm not taking credit for the first semester, only the second. I have no idea what to do and although I do have back up schools, I'm completely devastated that I'm probably not going to get into my choice college. I'm depressed and enraged at myself, and I don't know how to cope. I know this isn't the admissions office, but I didn't know where else to go to cope. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Can anyone tell me if I even have a slight chance of being accepted? Or if not, is there some way I can console mysef? I'm pretty torn up.

#6104 Sometimes I never feel accepted by my own race. I am always called 'the white girl' or told that I sound 'white' and it is so annoying. Like why do I have to talk or act a certain way to be considered black? I'm pretty sure everyone of the same race doesn't have to be the same!
