FIrst of all: In any exam I've been in where I've noticed cheating, it has been the asian students cheating. The TAs don't notice because they stop walking around about halfway through exams and those students pull out their computers. I'm not saying all Asians cheat. And I'm not saying American students don't cheat. I'm just saying that of the cheating I've noticed it's been international students. Also, if you're coming to America, learn english. It's not fair to the American students for Korean students to talk to the Korean TA in Korean because we don't know what is being said and normally neither do the professors.
Secondly: To the American students, the international students might be getting better grades than us and messing up our curves but majority of the time American students handle real life situations better than International students. It's happened to me. I'm struggling in some of my classes but if people ask me about things pertaining to my field of study I can answer it. The students with Straight As were asked the same question and didn't know how to answer it.
Third of all: If our school systems in America are so shitty compared to those in Asia why do so many Asian international students come here? Clearly America is doing something right. If you're wondering why Asia is becoming so much more advanced than the U.S. look at the curves. Our American engineers are failing classes and getting pushed into other majors because of Asian students changing the curve then after graduation returning to their country.
Basically I think that the way things are graded/curved and what not need to be re-evaluated and that our majors should all involve more real world situations than these bullshit useless labs that we have to sit through.
