#7054 Where is a good place to take that special someone on Valentine's Day?

#7053 So Purdue is a Division 1 Big Ten school. All summer we pay to have the sprinklers on every day all day, and a full team of landscapers planting flowers, trimming bushes, and mowing. During the fall we pay the same team of landscapers to remove the fallen leaves every single day from the grass and sidewalks. Now comes the twist, when winter comes this landscaping crew seems to disappear. Purdue attempts to clear the snow off of maybe 1/3 of the sidewalks on campus, and those sidewalks they only manage to get 75% of the snow. The other 2/3 of the sidewalks Purdue allows students to walk over and trample into ice, and then let more snow pile on top. Today I witnessed students walking in the road to and from class because it was both easier and safer for you than walking on the sidewalks. So it really doesn't surprise me that this school handled the shooting so badly last week, when we can't even manage to put students safety first by doing something as simple as clearing snow off of the sidewalks. If Purdue would like a lesson on how to get rid of snow they can come talk too me, because I'm proud to say that I have made sure Delta Chi has the one of the cleanest sidewalks all semester.

#7051 I am a person who doesn't feel the need to have a boyfriend, but looking at my friends who are all in a relationship-that's right every single one of them, I wish that if I had somebody too it would have been nice. Now I know that the effort in dating has to be both ways, and I can't just wait for someone to magically appear in life and blah blah blah... but I do not want a relationship by forcefully looking for one. It should just happen right? 19 years of my life I have stayed single so I don't have issues in staying like that possibly until I get married, but it's my heart's desire, so to say, to feel loved and be that special someone for another special someone. Possibly being overweight could be the issue, but I don't see why because I feel it is about 2 people liking each other for who they are and not just their looks. I don't see how posting here is gonna help either, but I just had to blurt out these feelings, because no one would seem to understand.

#7050 I've never been kissed, and I'm not posting this just to get somebody to message me and make it happen. The opportunity never came up. In high school and early college I was more concerned about my career than boys. It sounds like I'm a boring, sad girl, but i'm happy, I have friends, and I have a lot of guy friends. I don't want to kiss a random guy, just to look like a slut. I just hope this happens before I leave college.

#7049 I'm not exactly sure why so many people are convinced that sub-zero temperatures are a reason for us to stop attending class. There's nothing preventing us from getting to class safely as long as we handle bundling up responsibly. This is winter in the Midwest this year, and we can't expect Purdue to tap out every time it's this cold. The roads are just fine and there isn't any precipitation. We'll be okay.
