#7181 I don't expect anything at all from my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's just waiting till the holiday passes to break up with me.

#7179 I really hate society these days. Something just hit me while I walked into Physics lecture today. As I walked into the lecture hall I saw everybody glued to their phones with the exception of maybe a few people whispering to each other, everybody were on their phones either playing games, checking twitter, facebook, or texting. Here there were literally 200 peers of the same age in a class waiting for class to start but instead of starting a conversation everybody decides to take out their phones. Surely, there is somebody in the room with similar interests as you.

I'm going to get to the point of this post. What hit me was it wasn't even any of these students' fault either. It's society's. Society in this day, in this generation has these stupid rules that makes it more "socially acceptable" to look at your smart phone or laptop while you wait instead of starting a conversation with a stranger and making a new friend. This has to change there is something wrong with the world if it is more socially acceptable to ignore the people around you than to talk to them. I mean why do people give other people weird/awkward looks when a stranger tries to talk to you? We were all strangers at one point in our lives and just because you already have your set "group" of friends that you talk to doesn't mean you can't have a conversation and get to know somebody else.

#7175 I'm disappointed. Nobody. Not one Purdue soul joined me in my shirtless protest this morning. It felt awkward being the only one with the balls to walk to class without a shirt on. Thanks Purdue...FOR NOTHING!!!
