#8230 It really bugs me how little people understand what having ADHD means. I blame that mostly on certain doctors purposely misdiagnosing hyper kids to sell pills, but it seems like many don't understand that most of us with ADHD are actually very quiet and shy, unable to concentrate on one thing given our minds' inability to properly filter out distractions which leads to things like having a thousand different thoughts when noticing a door slam shut (How does its knob work? I wonder when the first door was made? Did ancient Egyptians have functioning door knobs?) to the point of losing track completely of one's original thoughts. I guess the point I'm going for here is to try and be patient with those of us with actual ADHD, we do know when we're being a possible annoyance (or will trick ourselves into thinking that). Otherwise it's cool!
