#8443 My confession is that I find East Asian girls really attractive. My problem is that if I were to say that, I get slapped with the label "yellow fever" and avoided like the plague. I don't like them based on some fetishized notion of cute shyness and submissiveness, but because I find their physical appearance attractive. Even as a child, I had crushes on Asian girls, before knowing all the stereotypes and stigma behind it. What makes it hard now is not only am I stigmatized, but most (not all) Asians have a tendency to stay with their own kind, which makes them harder to approach. Suggestions?

#8439 Sometimes the oddest people you meet can end up being the coolest. I had just finished blazing with some friends and went to my usually hangout place at the DSA. There was a girl sitting there wearing, hmmm the words to describe it, a hoodie that resembled something you would find in Lord of the Rings or the Chronicles of Narnia. When I looked more closely at her there was something odd sitting on her leg. I said to her “That’s a pretty crazy fake tarantula sitting on your leg there, almost looks real.” She then told me it was real. Afterwards I kind of freaked out, I’m not exactly a fan of large fanged spiders. She asked me if I wanted to pet it. I respectfully declined. She then asked if I wanted to pet her lizard which she pulled out of her odd looking hoodie. I pet it and left the DSA thinking jeez that is either the weirdest or one of the coolest chicks I’ve ever met. I got to know her better as a friend and she’s actually quite chill but this is a story I will always remember when meeting her.
