#29573 I went to Yummy Time today and was feeling very generous to give a lot of tips to my server but I was dumbstruck by the service that I received. There were 3 servers working at that time (including the restaurant owner), but none of them came to me like they used to after serving my food. The server who served my food even touched my rice as he was carrying it. I did want to ask for more side dishes, but all of them avoided from looking or coming into my direction. I also noticed that they were focusing more on the white customers at the next table, offering them more water for 3 times. I get it, maybe my glass of water still had 3/4 left that I might not need more. But when I had finished my water, one of the servers picked up the empty side dish bowls and came back with a to-go box and the bill without saying anything, as if wanting me to leave. I sat there for a few minutes before the restaurant owner came to me and asked that I pay for my meal at the register as soon as possible because they were "closing the register and want to divide the tips for the server". At that time I was just thinking "as if I want to give tips anymore". The white customers were asked if they would like to pay at the table or the register, but I was not given that opportunity. I was more than frustrated for being given a double standard service that I did not give tips. Previously, I was charged an extra amount on my card from Yummy Time without any reason. I had always given tips to them. I am an Asian myself, so I face the same shit from Asian restaurants on daily basis, but none as bad as this one. With all these being said, I won't go to Yummy Time anymore after being a loyal customer for 3 years.
