It's not really accepted in society yet, but here at Purdue I know I can stand tall, side by side with our mascot. My confession is: I'm a train.

Purdue Pete can be whatever gender, male, female, nonbinary, hell even an Apache helicopter. But me and the Boilermaker Special have something truly in common and it really helps me get through everyday. :)

Just yesterday in the shower, I was imagining how no one would know I was dead for at least a week if I were to hang myself, because my friends (?) don't really text me or miss me and the cleaning lady only comes in once a week.

The only reason I'm not acting on it is because I love my parents, and this would kill my family after all they've done for me. But I have detailed plans/visions of what I want to do to myself nonetheless. Everyday, when I look in the mirror, there's a voice inside my head that tells me that I'm a burden and that killing myself might be the only little good I do.

But I don't want to feel this way, I think. I want a career and I want to live life. Only problem is I don't know who to turn to for help because things like these can be damaging if people find out and I don't know where to go. I'm concerned my job prospects could be hurt if I spoke with CAPS.
