Its really not. I'm an Indian and that's how I felt at the beginning of last semester but I put myself out there and made tons of friends who aren't Indians. If you think of it as a set back, it's going to feel like one. You're different. Embrace it. If you try to talk to someone and they give you a weird look or something like that, its not because you're Indian. It's not like there aren't white guys who don't experience that. Being Indian isn't an issue at all unless you make it one. Put yourself out there and you might be surprised. And if you don't have a girlfriend, a lot of guys don't. It's not about race, it's about A LOT more than that. Race has nothing to do with it. I know a lot of people are going to read this and say "Not this again" but I just saw several posts about this and thought this might help.
