#1. They are not "largely based" on this "principle". In the times that fraternities and sororities were being founded, the liberal overly feminist mind was not an epidemic like it is today.

#2. Women and men ARE BIOLOGICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY DIFFERENT. If you do not accept this to be true your delusion is beyond help or repair.
