#11389 Due to hatred of my own body, manipulative parents, a flake-out (ex) boyfriend of almost four years who ditched me three times: (once for a pretty older girl, twice for the SATs which he retook just to beat me), and social politics in my small school, I didn't go to junior or senior prom. Looking at my younger friends' photos, I hate myself for feeling jealous and miserable rather than happy for them, but I can't help but feeling I missed out on something pretty cool. The point of resentment this year? My kid brother missed out on the prom that would have been meaningful to him this year because my parents are on sabbatical. Julia, if you read this page, you should know you were absolutely gorgeous last night, he really likes you, and he's beating himself up that prom with you will never happen.
