#11576 I've had a lot of trouble sleeping for the last couple years. It started because of depression, but even now that I've got that (mostly) under control, the sleep issues haven't gone away. Thanks to a decent-sized dose of nightly melatonin I manage to get enough hours, but even that's not fully doing the trick anymore. I'll lie awake for hours at a time trying to fall asleep, I'll wake up at least once a night, and then wake up in the morning long before I need to and end up feeling exhausted. It's not yet seriously affecting how I function during the day, but I'm worried it might soon. I know I could be scouring the internet for suggestions of what to do, but I've tried most of the common stuff I've seen: electronics off an hour before bed, no eating/drinking, play relaxing music, read a book, etc. Believe me, I've tried the whole shebang with no luck, and I know I can't be the only one who's struggling with this.

Anyone have a suggestion to help a half-zombified insomniac out?

#11570 I am beyond sick of posts like #11508, any complaining about racism and how hard it is to be a non-white student at Purdue. I'm Asian, and guess what? I have white, black, hispanic friends too. People of all colors can be great and they can also be assholes. To the person posting it, you obviously resent white people because of your own shortcomings socially. I know plenty of white people who aren't racist in the least and are actually interested in learning about and befriending people who are different than them. Maybe if you try to see people for who they are they will take a step in doing the same to you. Just stop bitching. Purdue is a diverse University with unbelievable opportunities. It is what you make of it, so shut up and start making the best of it.
