Open relationships are the norm now, females allow guys to be in open relationships and hookup with multiple girls even if they're dating. It is now normal to have a main girlfriend and a sidechick and no one looks down on that behavior anymore. What happened to dignity, respect, and being in an exclusive relationship with the girl you like/love?

#12054 I really hate being a part of my generation. Our generation will be knows as socially inept idiots who rely on social media and text messaging to form "fake" relationships. Think about it, all you see are people checking Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Guys in last generation had the guts to go to the girl's father's house and ask for permission to date his daughter. Guys now don't even have the guts to ask the girl(not even the father) in person, he has to do it through text. I really want to change the way our generation before its too late.

#12108 I confess. I had sex with girls I met at parties or bars. I didn't want to get married, and I stupidly called it freedom. Until I met her, at a Grand Prix party, and became friends with her. She's different from all the other girls I know, my friends and me. Yeah, I did want to have sex with her at first, but then I found that I loved her so much that didn't want to ruin her with my trashy life.

I stopped having sex with other women ever since I met her, she has no idea about this. I know she deserves someone better. I can't have her, I shouldn't have her. All I want is one day, when I'm with her, I won't think of my past and be disgusted by myself.It's been months and I'm still trying to forget this girl, but I know I will never forget her.

#12107 I don't get why people place so much validation on being in love or having a significant other. Are you really that miserable without someone to date? That angry that you swear to do this or that when you're still so young? Even then, are you in love with the person or in love with having a significant other?

Please don't misconstrue what I'm saying. Personally, I don't think love exists per our society's definition. Even biologically, the idea of one mate forever seems difficult to develop. So, I'm not hear to shame some people. I'm hear to encourage some people to develop self worth and some perspective.

It's foolish to attach your own self image on an ideal that is as fleeting as love. On the other side, when you think you're the best, someone else might see that too. Then, your relationship might last. But if it doesn't, you're still awesome!
