#12117 My mom is pushing me towards a degree in health physics. I currently have a computer security type part time job with a great company that could very easily lead to a full time salaried position upon graduation with a CIT degree. I really enjoy my job but my current degree path has absolutely nothing to do with this job. I also enjoy my degree path and know it's something I'm good at and would enjoy, but I feel like if I stick with this degree path then it's just yet another decision that my mom is making for me, and since she's not paying a penny towards my education it really pisses me off that that's what's happening. Not sure what I should do.

Confession: I wish I had a mentor that I could look up to and ask these kinds of questions but sadly I have nobody, just a really overbearing mother that only tells me what I "have" to do and is impossible to talk to
