Has anyone else seen this video of a woman getting harrassed 108 times - aka, receiving unsolicited sexual comments objectifying her body-- as she walks around New York for 10 hours with a hidden camera? I don't know about you, but this is an example that makes feminism seem like not such a sham anymore. Yes there are gay men and lesbians who have experienced similar threats out in public, but we are still minorities compared to the average straight man who can walk in public without being referred to as a mighty fine piece of booty.

I watched the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1XGPvbWn0A which is a video where an attractive white woman walks around what look like back streets of New York for 10 hours to make this 2 minute video. She claims that she was verbally "harassed" over 100 times. I however saw 2-3 times that would be considered harassing someone. The guy who walked with her for 5 minutes and the other guy who kept talking to her as he walked by her. All of the other verbal "harassments" consisted of "good morning beautiful, have a nice day, damn, nice, how are you this evening." I really fail to see how any of those things can be taken as verbal harassments. At the end of the video you are also asked to donate to a non-profit that is somehow supposed to stop men form complimenting attractive women. Some comments that I saw on the video were as follows:

From a woman ""How is men telling you to have a nice day and saying you're beautiful harassment? The most vulgar thing that happened was a few yelling "DAMN!". What are they supposed to yell about, your personality or how smart you are? They don't know you. All they have to go on is your looks in the seconds you walk by. How about take it for what it is and gracefully accept the compliment as you keep walking. Acknowledging their words as flattery is not going dehumanize you. Don't take it so seriously because I'm sure the moment you were out of sight they forgot all about it."

From a man "So this girl wants people to donate to the girls who get complimented on the streets? Practically saying she wants you to donate to good looking women. Since this would only happen to good looking women. And the thing is, out of all 100 of those guys you could choose any one of them to take you out for dinner that night and wine and dine you. And rinse and repeat the next day. I wish I had those opportunities as a male. Get over yourself.?"

I personally would feel good if I got complimented for my looks while just walking down the street.

#13069 My roommate is the biggest slob. She will leave dishes, beer cans, and food out for weeks and usually only picks it up if I ask her to. Pretty sure she's an alcoholic too and I don't know what to do because I'm done dealing with it. She's already gotten a DUI but apparently that didn't phase her because she drinks at least 4 times a week. Advice on how to deal with this? I'm done missing out on sleep because they want to party at 2 in the morning on a Monday and done having to pick up after them.
