Chinese people living in the United States don't try to learn the language or speak English. It is not this bad with any other culture, and I find it to be a little disrespectful. I am from Thailand so I guess we don't look that different but that does not mean you can start talking to me in Chinese only. I dont speak your language. If you are hear in North America, you should speak English at least. What's the point...come here and speak Chinese.
