#14276 What's the point of feminism? I mean we really aren't equal. I mean just think about anatomically even. Women don't have to be equal to men as a whole. If a person be it man or woman has passion and puts in time on something they have my respect. Also about the whole woman get payed only 70% for the same job a man does. Assuming this isn't BS. maybe its cause the workplace has been male dominant for a very long time and maybe the workplace is more suited for men and thus they are more productive. I might be completely wrong but this rant is just because of the looks I get when I say I'm not a feminist. If you are good you deserve respect. Nothing more.

#14275 How do I make new friends? Seriously, I go to clubs and I've been talking to people there. But it's usually about club related stuff. And we never meet outside the club.
I wouldn't call these people my friends, and I've no one to talk to when I am alone. Just because I was too shy to make friends as a freshman, when I had a lot of opportunities, doesn't mean I have to be lonely for rest of my time at purdue.
I eat alone in the dining courts every single day, and I don't like it.

#14274 Its too much. I always wanted to join the AISEC conferences. I wanted to join last national AISEC conference that was held in Texas, but due to huge politics i was bared to go. Why every time and in every conference you have to go? Its not your Daddy's organization! Can't you allow others to go and represent Purdue? You think you are smart but there are plenty of smart students who want to go in AISEC meetings and conferences. I want to see the change in the AISEC@Purdue's policy in supporting other student members to represent Purdue.

#14293 My real experience and need suggestion of what should i do next. I saw a girl sitting in a couch during a social event. I went close to her and sat next to her. Asked her how she was doing. We talked little bit and found out she is from Japan and an exchange student a year. She told me she has no friends to hangout with and told me she can go and drink alcohol as she was 21 over. She sent me FB request and i accepted it. Next day i wished her good morning, asked how she was doing on FB message. She didn't reply me for couple days and then replied me she was doing very well,but has no US SIM and doesn't have internet in her apartment. So we decided to meet and have coffee together. I bought her a coffee that she liked and we talked over some of the current issues, her difficulties with anything and her interest in doing an internship. I liked her, being with her and talking to her. I started to study with her in the library. I used to send her message and ask her how she was doing, if i can bring a coffee to her if she is busy in studying, or soup if she is not feeling well. I wanted to see her at least every day. Coffee was a way to see her. But then she started feeling it as strange and started saying why i am being so kind and caring, and told me that i do not need to do anything for her. Out of now where she told me she can't trust me. I said well, thank you so much for being so nice with me. I like her and want to be closer to her, but now i do not know what should i tell her to take her out and be the guy who she can trust. Please suggest me what should be my next move, and what should i tell her........Confused Guy :(
