#14510 When I get depressed I start to Google my problems and come across so many other people complaining about their worse problems and I come to the conclusion that my problems really aren't that bad and it makes me feel better. Does that count as schadenfreude?

#14604 Is it worth pursuing someone who always put work, daily chores and sleep above everything else and won't make an exception even during the days when you needed that person the most?

#14603 I grew up with extremely sheltering, authoritarian parents who relentlessly tried to keep me "innocent." I absolutely hated that, so the moment I arrived here I have been trying to rid myself of every last drop of innocence. (I'm a guy.) While I have since finally lost my virginity and started drinking, I still have a long way to go in getting rid of all of my innocence. How can I do that without becoming a complete asshole? I just want all of my old innocence to be gone forever.

#14602 Not trying to be a self-righteous asshole, but it'll do people good to be aware. Working at the dining court dish wash makes me sick. Not because of handling half-eaten food, but by seeing how much food is wasted. In one hour alone, I threw away 1.5 black trash bag worth of half eaten ham, sandwiches, fruits, cookies etc. Silver lining though, at least I know the food isn't running out of food any time soon if so much can be thrown away nonchalantly.

#14601 After my long distance girlfriend broke up with me, I have spent a lot of alone time figuring stuff out for myself. I realized that I more than just loved her and that there were a lot of intricate inherent flaws with my communication and behavior that drove her away. Although I intended good things for her and have always been there for her when she needed help, I wasn't man enough to make a tomboy feel like a princess.
Over the last few weeks, I have worked hard to improve my communication, control my emotions, express myself better and not be a touchy douchebag. I will make an honest attempt to win her back when I go back home for Spring break. I hope she accepts to give this another chance because this time I won't disappoint her.
I just needed to let this out.
